Hello!

This Substack might be a little like the weather at first: if you don’t connect with one post, just wait until the next and see if it’s the difference between sunshine and snow.

You can expect to find my thoughts on reading, writing, revising, and all the good things that go along with those, but don’t be surprised if you also hear about some of my crafty hobbies, my dog (a medically-complex, geriatric-ish standard poodle), and my obsession with finding the perfect pen for every occasion.

I have a BA in English and education, an MS in curriculum and instruction, and I’m working on my MA in professional and creative writing. I don’t think you need to know all that, but it might help you understand why I (will) have an entire post dedicated to em dashes.
